What’s Special About Hawthorn Hills

When you come visit us, you’ll see the sheer beauty of our subdivision — nearly 100 homes nestled among rolling hills and surrounded by the natural splendor of western North Carolina.  With spacious lots and congruous landscaping, home sites were planned to create a pastoral, livable, and walkable environment.  At the east entrance, you’ll find our small lake where some “guest residents” can be found — ducks, Canadian geese, and sometimes even a graceful heron at the water’s edge.  Long ago home to the Kalmia Dairy Farm, Hawthorn Hills is one of the most beautiful and friendly communities in Henderson County.

The Four Seasons in Hawthorn Hills

Each season delivers its own kind of pleasure. Spring brings flowering dogwoods, rhododendrons, azaleas, and mountain laurels. Summer warmth embraces everyone in an abundance of greenery.  The autumn leaf season unveils a spectacular display of reds, oranges, and yellows. And in winter, nothing could be more serene than a fresh dusting of snow across Hawthorn Hills.

Our Home Town

Hawthorn Hills has a country feel, but it’s only minutes from the fine shopping and dining of downtown Hendersonville, just three miles to the east.  Even closer are the major hospital and health facilities.  Hendersonville is a great town imbued with a strong sense of community and old-fashioned Southern friendliness.

Area Attractions and Amenities Abound

In addition to all the shopping and dining, residents of Henderson County enjoy quality medical services and a high-achieving public school system. Cultural, educational, and outdoor recreational opportunities are plentiful — Flat Rock Playhouse, Brevard Music Center, “Unto These Hills” outdoor drama, Blue Ridge Community College, UNC Asheville, Biltmore House and Gardens, North Carolina Arboretum, Pisgah National Forest, DuPont State Recreational Forest, Lake Lure, and the Blue Ridge Parkway are all close by.  Then, only 80 miles away is the most popular national park in the country, Great Smoky Mountains. And Dollywood is just beyond.

The Heart of Hawthorn Hills

Hawthorn Hills began with the same vision that guides us to this day — a supportive, neighborly spirit reflected in its distinctive all-season beauty.  This is an upscale, welcoming community that respects mountain values.  Hawthorn Hills is simply one of the most pleasant subdivisions in Henderson County and a wonderful place to live.  Come join us!
